    My first pick is choice B. However, think about the term “BEST” answer, then choice A is correct. Let me explain:

    1) From the time the user found out he/she lost the phone, then contact the company IT department. The IT department wipe the data remotely (assume this feature is enabled and working). We are talking about at least few hours to even one or two days. The thief has enough time to steal the data if the phone has no screensaver lock.

    2) In addition, if the screensaver lock is very strong and the thief is not able to steal the data, then remote wipe is simply an extra protection. It is NOT the first defense.

    Therefore, choice A is the BEST answer.
