WEP is security mechanism that encrypts grouping information between Access Point and Client in "RC4" mode. Password is easily cracked. The encryption key that WEP uses includes the 40 bits (104 bits) general key that both receiver and sender predefined, and the 24 bits encryption key (IV key) that sender defined for each group.
