60 hosts we need a subnet mask of at least 6 bit 0s -> “/26″. The question requires “wasting the fewest addresses” which means we have to allow only 62(not less than that ie 56) hosts-per-subnet -> B is correct.

because R3 is using block 192.168.1.48/28 which corresponds 192.168.1.48 thru 192.168.1.63 Therefore, 192.168.1.56/26 can not be used.
