One Comment on “Which route or routes will the router install in the routing table?

  1. Cydonia83 says:

Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (also known as EIGRP) is a proprietary routing protocol developed by Cisco.
It is the fastest Routing protocol out there and even faster than OSPF.
It is an advanced distance vector routing protocol that contains optimisations that are intended to minimise any routing instability that was incurred after topology changes, as well as the bandwidth usage and processing power within the router.

Also keep in mind that the administrative distance of EIGRP is 90 and Ospf is 110 (lower is better)
Here what you need to know about administrative distance for the CCNA objectives :

    Directly Connected interface 0
    Static route 1
    Internal EIGRP 90
    OSPF 110
    RIP & RIP V2 120
