A.
RDM map file (-rdm.vmdk)

Template file (.vmtx)
D.
Lock file (.lck)
E.
Suspended state file (.vmsn)
I think, (.vmsd) not (.vmsn)

I agree…It should be .vmsd (Snapshot list file) not .vmsn (Memory state of VM). Suspended state file is (.vmss).

(.vmsn) is also Snapshot state file, but the “descriptor” file for each snapshot capturing the state of the VM at a given point in time vice (.vmsd) is the “centralized” for storing info and meta-data about snapshots.

According to this, there are .lck files http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1012004
So it should be D instead of E

.lck files are valid for a VM. The question deals with a template.
