Completely agree.
There is no mention of a trust between the two forests. Since the forest is a replication boundary there is no way, at least as presented in this question, that the given answer could be correct.

So, best I can tell from researching, you can not span 2 different forests with a single site, so this question is either totally wrong, or intentionally tricky in that it shows you 2 forests and 2 site names, leading you to believe that it is only 2 sites when in fact it is 4 sites. Contoso.com has Site1 and Site2, and Adatum.com has Site1 and Site2 (not the same sites from Contoso). Franc is correct with his answer.
