The given answer is not competely correct.

The object created on DC1 on Saterday at midnight wil NOT be replicated to DC4 within 3 hours.

DC4 is in the Default-SiteLink. But this SiteLInk does not contain any other sites (see exhibit, SiteList for Default-FirstSite. It onloy contains the Default-First-Site-Name site).

DC4 is isolated from the other sites, so nothing will get replicated to it.

    Given answer is correct.
What we are configuring on this question is inter-site replication.

If we add DC4 to any site, it will replicate to the DC on that site, and that DC will replicate to the others accordingly to the replication configuration above.

IF I win lotto, I will become a millionaire and will be living the dream.

Not sure what your point is, but there’s no IF here in this question. DC4 does not replicate to anything else. That’s the condition the question is giving us. Franc is right.

I think it’s clear to everybody that the first and third statement both are wrong, so answer “no”.
The second is somewhat tricky: user is being created at friday night 11p.m., the replication schedule will start one hour later at 0a.m.. Depending on the replication load (could be plenty of stuff summed up all day long!) and WAN latencies, it might take some minutes to get all information over!
The correct statement should therefore have a wording like “AFTER one hour”, because replication cannot be finished within one hour.
So, I would choose everything with NO as answer.

As I see it Friday replication is working from 18:00 on SiteLink1 and from 22:00 on SiteLink2. Object is created at 23:00, so I guess no problem there?

      No
      Yes

  4. Patrick says:

    No
    Yes
    No

Object created at 1000 on Monday on DC1 will not start to replicate on site link 1 until 1800, well over the stated 15 minutes, so No

Object created at 2300 on Friday on DC1 will replicate to DC2 on site link 1 within 15 minutes, then to DC3 on site link 2 within 30 minutes, all under the stated hour, so yes

Object created on DC1 at midnight on Saturday will start replication within 15 minutes, but has no replication path to DC 4, so No
