    The correct answer is DC1. The Schema Master controls all updates to the schema; adding a DC clearly qualifies as an update to the schema. The Domain Naming Master is required when promoting or demoting a DC.

    RID Master allocates RIDs to DCs for AD object creation but is not required under the terms of the scenario.

      Doug, the Schema master EXTENDS the schema (by adding additional attributes). Think of it in terms of adding either additional properties to a table in a database or additional tables for data.
