    No, C is correct. You don’t need to assign computers to a group for them to update.

    The least administrative effort would be to apply updates to all computers and configure them to point to WSUS with a GPO. There is no need to create groups nor does creating a group actually do anything. It remains a blank group until you manually add all 550 computer accounts to it. You can configure client side targeting to add computers to groups, but groups are just for delegating who gets what.

    The question explicitly says you want all computers to get the same updates, hence no group is required.
