If you unlock a bitlocker encrypted drive, it is no longer a bitlocker encrypted drive. 🙂 IMHO, the answer should be Windows Server Backup for the first one.

That’s like saying if I unlock a door then the door no longer exists. It’s still a bitlocker encrypted drive after it’s unlocked, it’s just that you’ve unlocked it.

That’s a tricky one. ChaserZX is right but where in the question you see the VOL1 is unlocked? As Blazz says, if you unlock it, it’s no longer encrypted. What a mess!!
I go with WSB-WABO-WSB-WSB because it’s the typical MS question where they want you to know that you can’t use WABO to backup a removable drive or a Bitlocker-encrypted volume.

Like what Dev7 said, if you unlock a door, it is STILL a door. Take a non Bitlocker encrypted drive and an unlocked Bitlocker encrypted drive for comparison. The difference here is that you don’t have to encrypt a Bitlocker encrypted drive again, you simply lock it.

Based on this I think provided answer is correct. You can backup Bitlocker Drive encrypted drives as long as you unlock it before the backup occurs.

I think this gives us the option to unlock the encrypted drive. so we can back it up to azure.
