    A. seems to be the only logical answer. C and D could be an option, but your using Office Telemetry which does this for you as long as the documents are OPENED and recorded with Telemetry. B is not an option as limmontreefree mentioned.

Good hell, I’m drunk and even I caught the following that is clearly stated in the question:

      “The company uses Office Telemetry.”

I don’t know how that is confusing.

    According to this link https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj863580.aspx#bkmk_howistelemetrydatacollected

“Office Telemetry in Office 2013 works as follows: When an Office document or solution is loaded, used, closed, or raises an error in certain Office 2013 applications, the application adds a record about the event to a local data store. Each record includes a description of the problem and a link to more information. Inventory and usage data is also tracked.”

so to collect any telemetry data, Office documents have to be opened. This information (along with others) is uploaded to the shared folder by the agents. The Telemetry processor then imports the shared folder data into the telemetry database. Whoever has been granted access to the telemetry database can then use the telemetry dashboard to view the combined data.

So answer should be A since you need the Office documents to be opened to get the required info. But the viewing of the info will be in the telemetry dashboard
