Okay, so please help me understand. If I open a workbook created with a previous version of Office, with Excel 2013, does the telemetry report the version of Office that it was created with? Because in the roadmap listed here ‘http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34991’. It says to deploy to all 2007, 2010, and 2013 clients. It isn’t specific about Windows 7 or 8, although the minimum requirements are shown as Windows 7, 8 is not included.

Real Time Data functions is not only for Excel 2013…there are several references for Excel 2003 and higher to use RTD functions.

Still I would choose A and B because only Office 2013 reports give a value to “Has external data connection?”

While true the question isn’t asking about requirements to use coauthoring, but rather collecting data about the systems in the environment to see if they can use co-authoring.

      1. Gabriel Bandeira says:

That´s it Justin, you cannot use co-authoring in Excel 2007 so how could you possibly collect data about it?

If you need to collect data even without working then i would test in all environments possible, all versions and OS available.

I go with Joe´s answer, A and B as i´ve got the same answer in another dump.

I agree that the answer would be A and B because the question is asking you to analyze the data that has already been collected and to do that you would need to view the Telemetry Dashboard. From TechNet:

Telemetry Dashboard is an Excel workbook that is configured to connect to a telemetry database. Telemetry Dashboard is installed together with Office Professional Plus 2013, Office Standard 2013, and Office 365 ProPlus editions of Office 2013. To view it, you must have Excel 2013 installed.

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/RTD-function-e0cc001a-56f0-470a-9b19-9455dc0eb593

RTD is supported on the 2007, 2010 and 2013 versions of Office and on Windows 7 and 8.

As the task is described by this sentence “You need to gather information about Microsoft Excel XLS real-time data (RTD) add-ins.”, i would answer B and C.

By doing this you can gather information regarding the RTD add-in running on Excel 2007, 10 and 13, and Windows 7 and 8.

As I Read in the following post from Joe: “Office 2007 Apps would be locked by Sharepoint/One Drive from being edited by other users (Co-authoring)”

A and B is the answer, as the question mention that the company “plans to use Co-authoring”.
