Pirut1, It doesn’t say selfserve model anywhere here. It even goes so far as to say “Without User Interaction”. That’s GPO.

Seems contradictory to me. The only way it’s not contradictory is if requirement 1 is referring to the system account rather than you user account, and it’s referring to something like auto enrollment with certificates. But again it seems contradictory.
If we go with that logic in mind the correct answer would be:

7. Configure an installation XML file and set the SourcePath parameter to \\server\share\office. Copy installation files to the source path
5. Configure a group policy object to install Office applications by using the installation XML file
Also it should be noted that %deployroot% is a variable that isn’t defined in the question, but the network share location \\server\share\office is all you need to make the share work. Also “content delivery network” generally refers to multiple data centers, and the question doesn’t indicate this is multiple locations or even an international deployment.

Guys, how about this.
The question says “must test before deployment”, but the question didn’t clearly state this is already going into production.
So imagine this, the company has 1 server, 1 test PC, 99 production PCs. So based on my reading http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_resource_kit/archive/2014/01/28/managing-updates-for-office-365-proplus-part-2.aspx, this is what will happen:
1. Configure the server to grab update from CDN
2. Create the file share on server
3. Configure an XML file and only load that XML file ont the test PC to point to the file share
4. Without deploying GPO, have the test user install it (self service model anyone?)
5. Wait for 2-3 weeks and assuming if no problems, then deploy the update to the rest 99 production PCs.
So steps 1-3 still matches the answer provided
steps 4-5 are valid after the testing on the test PC is satisfactory, but they are not included in the answer… and the question only asked for 3 steps anyway.

-Configure a Group Policy Object to install Office applications by using the installation XML file.
Forget about the CDN, it has no relevance here because there’s a requirement to test the updates before deployment. Given the information provided the only way to do that would be do download the patches and include them in the installation source path.
There are several ways of deploying office (see links below), but the only one provided in this question is Group Policy, so it’s really a matter of just selecting the correct one.

Took the exam today. Many questions changed or are new and not on this forum.
On 54 questions i guess i had like 20 new questions minimum.
Anyway. This specific question changed in the requirements.
This:
• Office applications must be installed from a local network location by using a selfservice model.
Changed into something like:
• Office applications must be installed automatically
So you need to adapt your answer using one of the GPO bloc proposed.
