Although A is a correct answer indeed, primary and secondary VMs do NOT share any virtual disk files. All the resources, including disk storage, are doubled and allocated upfront to both primary and secondary VMs.

    Search for vLockstep Technology.
All EXTERNAL INPUT (Only USB/HID/Disk/Network AND other EXTERNAL INPUT; so NO means of CPU or Memory transfer!) is sent to the Primary VM which sends it via “VMkernel port for Fault Tolerance logging” to the Secondary VM. The Secondary VM does the same instructions like the Primary does. The ONLY difference is that OUTPUT does not leave the Secondary VM. In Fact NO mirroring takes place! Both vCPU’s (Primary AND Secondary) will be active at the same rate and intensity! NOTE: at this time FT works only with VM’s that use 1 vCPU!

So A. is the ONLY correct description.

  2. Unquestionably imagine that which you stated. Your favorite reason appeared to be at the internet the easiest thing to take into accout of. I say to you, I certainly get irked even as people consider issues that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest and also outlined out the whole thing without having side effect , other people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
