I agree that you can configure CPU/Network/Disk alerts at the VM level in XenCenter, however thy ask “Which three types of XENSERVER alerts […]?” … XenServer alerts not hosted-vm alerts.
A resource pool is comprised of at least two XenServer hosts. Since you cannot configure alerts from the properties of the pool name, you must select each host individually.
When you configure alerting for a XenServer host you can only select CPU/Mem/Network… so I would tend to go for BCD.
