Scenario:
In a new XenDesktop site, virtual machines (VMs) will be provisioned using Provisioning Services
(PVS). A Citrix Administrator is required to create and add the new machines to a delivery group.
What are three of the steps the administrator should take to complete the requirements? (Choose
three.)

A.
Run Sysprep.
B.
Mount an ISO.
C.
Create a machine catalog.
D.
Select a machine template.
E.
Prepare a master target device.
F.
Specify the desktop connection type.
From the PVS console, if you already have a master image:
Right click on your site > Select XenDesktop setup wizard > specify the delivery controller > select host resources > select the VM template > select the standard-mode vdisk > create a new machine catalog or alternatively use an existing one > select the OS (Server OS or Desktop OS) > select resources and the number of VMs to create > create or import AD acconts
We don’t have too many details here, we only know that:
1) we need to provision *NEW* VMs using PVS. By stating the keyword new, does that mean that we already have a master image that we’ve been using?
2) create and add the new VMs to a delivery group.
Not sure how the Citix exam work but for Microsoft exams, if you don’t have extra details you should consider everything as unconfigured/standard.
Therefore:
– prepare a master image/standard disk and a VM template
– create a machine catalog
– specify what type of catalog (desktop/server)
