You can backup the database from SMSS (SQL Server Management Studio) – D
I don’t think any of the other provided answers are correct. I couldn’t find an option to back up the DB directly from Studio (I’m running 7.15 LTSR though).
Found this old article for 7.5 (https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX135207) that shows a Powershell session being launched from Desktop Studio in order to verify the name of the database and database server, however all backup&restore actions are being performed from SSMS.
