What should the administrator do to resolve this issue?

Scenario:
XenDesktop is being used in an environment to deliver App-V applications to users. A Citrix
Administrator deploys a new App-V package to the App-V Publishing Server. The App-V package
must be delivered to a specific group of users through Citrix Studio. The administrator selects an
existing Delivery Group in Citrix Studio and uses the ‘Add Applications’ option. The list of installed
applications on the master image does NOT display the newly created App-V application. What

“The list of installed applications on the master image does NOT display the newly created App-V application.” – Why are we even searching for an app-v published application on the master image? After creating the application package from an App-V publishing server and administrator adds it to the application list in studio and when adding extra applications to a delivery group you would select “Add applications” and then select App-V as the source.

None of these seem right to me, unless I’m missing something or I don’t understand how App-V works (haven’t had much practice with it so it may be the case)

Your correct ; it is nonsense to include App-V packages in a master image. Sometimes App-v packages are pre-staged after a reboot with a scheduled task or startup script so they are available more quickly, but you don’t include them in the master image. This way your master stays clean and compact
