    A – is not relevant;
    B – could be a potential cause however I believe the error message will be different, not entirely sure though. Keyword here is “VALIDATE”…
    C – the “server” certificate.. it they would’ve said the root certificate or CA certificate I would’ve maybe considered it (presuming they are using an internal CA), but the server certificate itself doesn’t have to be installed on the users’ machines;
    D – found an old article (https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/receiver/windows/4-2/ica-securing-connections-v2/ica-cert-revocation-list-enable-v2.html), not sure if it is still the case, but apparently CRL with Receiver is NOT enabled by default. If we presume that CRL is enabled, then this answer would make the most sense to me because of the “cannot validate” keyword. Clearly some validation checks were failing if you’re seeing this.
