Where is the trick here? –> if the WAN link fails there will be no connection, regardless of what is configured on Server1
Would anyone be kind enough to explain this?

The idea is, that if the link fails and the resolution still works, then it can’t be a forwarder, or a stub zone => it needs to be a secondary zone, so it syncs the entries.

Clients will still have access to Server 1, the question is referring to the WAN link failing between Server 1 and Server 2.
