      As a standard user i cannot manage licenses, however as an admin i can go into users and groups, edit licenses and deactivate certain users… To me this is obviously D.

      I’ve gone through the portal as both admin and user and i think its definitely D

      Am i missing something here?

      7hrain is correct. The question states you are testing the surface2 for a user. So, you’d sign in as the user to the O365 portal and it will have displayed the licenses you have used for each device and list the number of licenses left. Based on the devices listed, you can choose to deactivate a specific device’s Office 365 installation.

    With the current product both answers A & D would be correct. In the Office 365 Admin site, as of July 2015, there is indeed an option on the properties of an individual user account to manage Office installations, similar to what the user would see if they were to access the portal. Here you could go in and remove devices.

    I would go with answer A, but be prepared for an update to this question.

      TonyS…..First off you should always listen to Justin Thompson.

      I logged onto my tenant and you indeed can do this as an Admin. It’s rather simple:

      -Log onto Office 365 Admin Center
      -Click Users->Active Users
      -Select the user you want to manage the Office Installations for
      -Click Edit next to the “Office Installations” section in the user properties

      Stated clearly is the following:

      has installed and activated Office apps on the devices listed here. You can deactivate devices that is no longer using to free up the number of available installs.

      Hopefully you revisit this and realize your error in judgement.

    I passed the exam two days ago and there were two type of questions about this:

    ***One question was mentioned that you have to “help employee to licence her new …..”
    The correct answer for this is
    “Instruct her to Sign in to the Office 365 portal as the employee and deactivate the old laptop”

    ***Another question was mentioned that you have to “licence the new laptop for her …..”
    The correct answer for this is
    “Sign in to the Office 365 portal by using your Global Admin account and then deactivate
    the old laptop.”
