That doesn’t make sense unless they’re saying it’s used to avoid detection by faking your real mac, as opposed actually spoofing an existing mac address of another machine. Hackers use SMAC to avoid detection, especially on WIFI connections, where you certainly don’t want your real burned-in address being seen. Good tool and it saves the mac you use even if you reboot.
