that travels along the Main-Branch2 site link (cost 100) and through Main-Branch1 site
link(cost 100) to establish replication connection in the event the least cost path goes down.
Since the logical path =200, Branch2 will only replicate with Branch1 if the site link to the
Main Site goes down.

the answer is correct as stated…when you create a new site object you have to associate it with a site link or it won’t allow you to create it. So when you create the new site object branch2 it will have to be associated with main-branch1 initially. That is why you have to remove it from main-branch1. After you remove it you then create the main-branch2 link and then you can add branch2 to the newly created link(main-branch2)

I was joking with my Instructor who taught the Server 2012 class for 70-412 and said their is a division in Microsoft like their is a division in the US Government (Republicans and Democrats). Both don’t like the rules the other party is implementing and hence there is no uniform way of running the Government. Microsoft is the same. Some engineers want to implement changes from ground up and others just want to make minor changes and call it a brand new feature. Therefore the Technet articles always don’t make common sense.
My teacher’s response was some questions on the new Microsoft exams are being written by Engineers to showcase some new features they want the systems administrators to be aware of. However, reality is less than 10% of us may ever use them.

be sure to remove the site from the Default-First-Site-Link after you add the site to a new site link
So you have to create an opject, then create a site link with main and branch2, then remove branch2 from the other site link (because it is added to this during the setup of the new site)

It can be done either way round, but Microsoft recommend to add it to the new site link then remove it from the old one. Guessing this is because you may get issues if the site is removed and then added to the new one (as it is not a member of a site link between removing and adding)

In regards to why we need to remove branch2 from Main-Branch1 before creating the new site-link for Main-Branch2, this statement in the question where it says “There are no other site links”, make me think that Main-Branch1 is the Default-First-Site-Link which has been renamed as Main-Branch1. That is why after creating the new site object it is automatically added to the one and only site link available which happens to be Main-Branch1. This might explain why we need to remove Branch2 object from Main-Branch1 before creating Main-Branch2. Although as stated earlier, in practice it is equally valid to create the new site-link for Main-Branch2 and then go back and remove Branch2 from Main-Branch1 making sure it is not in both site-links.
Saying this, I stick with this order which sound safer:
1- Create New Site Object for Branch2
2- Remove Branch 2 from Main-Branch1 aka of Default-First-Site-Link
3- Create New Site link for Main-Branch2

Plz Correct me if im wrong :
first – create site object because new site is up so we must have an object that point on that site
second – we must remove the Site Branch2 from the link main-branch1 because there is no default site link only 1 site perior creating branch2 therefore the new site will automaticly be a member if main-branch1.
3rd – create a site link between site name branch 2 and main and we call it main-branch2
is that sound right ?

The answer is wrong, or at least the order in which these have to be executed (reverse the order of step 2 and 3):
– create new site
– create site link between main and and the new one
– only after this you can finally remote the new site from the main-branch site link

Well this question is so confusing because it says “arrange them in the correct order”
well first we must create a site object named Branch 2
Second we can either remove branch2 from the main-branch1 site then create a new site like object named main-branch2 or do it the other way around IT DOESNT MATTER but it is recommended to create then delete this is the logical way.
The question should say which are the 3 correct options

Ok, forget my comment, “Bridge all site links” is enabled by default. So we dont need a site link bridge.
