  1. GoGo says:

ad 1) shouldn’t Firmware boot order be adjusted? Proper vhdx is already allocated to SCSI controller so i don’t see any point to allocate it again.
ad 2) Advanced feature on SCSI

Booting from file means, that OS was already running and adjusted boot sequence accordingly. I don’t see any other option how this VM could start other than from the Server1.vhdx so even this option isn’t perfect answer to the question.

      GoGo Ref Point 1
The server was booting correctly (question does not say otherwise) and we just moved Server1.xhdx. So this simply requires changing the location of Server1.xhdx in settings for that VM.

I do not know the answer for the second requirement. But the answer for the first one is “Firmware”.

“Ensure that Server1 can start by using Server1.vhdx.” ==>> Must select “Firmware”, which is the second item from the top.

“Firmware” is like BIOS of the real computer, in which we can choose the order to start the computer amongst DVD, hard disk or legacy network adapter.

When you select “Firmware”, the right pane shows CLEARLY that “Startup order: Select the order in which boot devices are checked to start the operating system”. Therefore, this is definitely the answer for the first requirement.
