    I do not agree on the suggested solution steps. According to technet (see link below) i would follow this steps:

    1) on server2, install the windows server migration tools
    2) on server1, install the windows server migration tools
    3) on server2, create a deployment folder
    4) on server2, run the receive-smigserverdata cmdlet (we need a listening socket first)
    5) on server1, run the send-smigserverdata cmdlet

    All in all this kind of questions are bullsh** as the sequence of the steps can vary (e.g. 1) and 2))

    Was quickly reading while on coffee break on technets “Step-By-Step: Windows Server 2012 Migration Tools Preparation” page, so didnt catch if it was for this case, but it says:
    1. Installing Windows Server Migration Tools on destination servers that run Windows Server 2012 R2 Preview or Windows Server 2012.
    2. Creating deployment folders on migration destination servers, for copying to source servers.
    3. Copying deployment folders from destination servers to source servers.
    4. Registering Windows Server Migration Tools on source servers.

    So would it be?:
    1) install server2
    2) server2 create folder
    3) register server1
    4) server2 receive-smig..
    5) server1 send-smig…
