Going by how the question is worded I would choose patch management. Whitelisting is simply yes or no to certain applications. Does nothing to fix the vulnerabilities of the software itself

Unless by ‘patch management’ they mean OS patching. Sometimes I really hate these questions b/c sometimes what you think they mean is not what they mean. I read that as O/S patching….but I could be wrong.
