I suppose you can segment user’s personal data and company data separately on the mobile memory. However, it does not remove the data. Could easily remove the company data from the mobile device easier without affecting personal data?

Doesn’t remote wiping remove all the data anyway, so why use storage segmentation? Is what they’re getting at to compartmentalize user and company data remotely first and then only remote wipe the company data? To me remote wiping alone would be the only necessary solution since its the company’s device anyway. Why do you need to segment the data at all?

Storage segmentation keeps the user data on the device separate from the company’s data. When a remote wipe is initialized it doesn’t compromise the user’s pictures, files, etc. All of it is a part of BYOD.

remote wiping would be at its best when there is a storage segmentation. not everything could be wipe specially if its hidden somewhere…
