It was recently discovered that after a meeting in the datacenter, a malicious insider deleted several gigabytes of critical data and physically destroyed the
accompanying tape backups. However, an investigation revealed that the insider’s badge was never used to enter the server room. How could the insider BEST
have accomplished this?

A.
Remote access
B.
Time bomb attack
C.
Setting a fire
D.
Tailgating
Why not remote access? Tailgating is an acceptable answer as well but I don’t think tailgating is the “BEST” answer – using remote access, the insider would not have to use his badge either. The question does not give enough details to determine if Tailgating is a better answer than Remote Access.

I think “Insider” is the key term here

He PHYSICALLY destroyed the backup tapes. Can’t do that remotely. Tailgating is the only answer

Great answer DaveyBoy. I think that CompTIA go with tailgating, we need to think as they are.
