    Answer is A

    Cisco Card— ANY PORT on the adapter card can be used to access the CIMC. The Cisco adapter card has to be installed in a slot with Network Communications Services Interface protocol (NCSI) support.

    ANY port = least number of physical ports while providing
    maximum levels of redundancy

    OBS: The NIC mode setting determines which ports can reach the CIMC. The following network mode options are available, depending on your platform:

    The question seems rather ambiguous indeed, but I believe the answer should be C.

    A: “Dedicated — The management port is used to access the CIMC.” This option does not satisfy the redundancy requirement, since only a single port is used.

    B: “Shared LOM — Any LOM (LAN On Motherboard) port can be used to access the CIMC.” That means 1G as well as 10G ports can be used. So while definitely redundant, this does not satisfy the least number of ports requirement.

    C: “Shared LOM 10G — Any 10G LOM port can be used to access the CIMC. This option is only available for some adapter cards.” IF the option is available, it provides us with less ports than regular shared LOM, while still satisfying the redundancy requirement.

    D: Technically there is no such mode as “Cisco VIC”, only “Cisco Card” mode exists.
