You need to ensure that replication can occur if NYC-SVR1 fails

Your company has a main office and two branch offices. The main office is located in New
York. The branch offices are located in Seattle and Chicago.
The network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. An Active Directory
site exists for each office. Active Directory site links exist between the main office and the
branch offices. All servers run Windows Server 2012 R2.
The domain contains three file servers. The file servers are configured as shown in the
following table.

You implement a Distributed File System (DFS) replication group named ReplGroup.
ReplGroup is used to replicate a folder on each file server. ReplGroup uses a hub and spoke
topology. NYC-SVR1 is configured as the hub server.
You need to ensure that replication can occur if NYC-SVR1 fails.
What should you do?

A.
Create an Active Directory site link bridge.

B.
Create an Active Directory site link.

C.
Modify the properties of Rep1Group.

D.
Create a connection in Rep1Group.

Explanation:
Unsure about this answer.
D:

A:
The Bridge all site links option in Active Directory must be enabled. (This option is available
in the Active Directory Sites and Services snap-in.) Turning off Bridge all site links can affect
the ability of DFS to refer client computers to target computers that have the least expensive
connection cost. An Intersite Topology Generator that is running Windows Server 2003 relies
on the Bridge all site links option being enabled to generate the intersite cost matrix that DFS
requires for its site-costing functionality. If you turn off this option, you must create site links
between the Active Directory sites for which you want DFS to calculate accurate site costs.
Any sites that are not connected by site links will have the maximum possible cost. For more
information about site link bridging, see “Active Directory Replication Topology Technical Reference.”

    Change the Replication Topology
The replication topology consists of the logical connections that DFS Replication uses to replicate files among servers.
When choosing a topology, keep in mind that two one-way connections are created between the members you choose.
These two connections allow data to flow in both directions.
To create a replication topology Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click DFS Management.
In the console tree, under the Replication node, right-click the replication group to create a new topology for, and then click New Topology.
Follow the instructions in the New Topology Wizard to choose one of the following topologies:
Hub and spoke. This topology requires three or more members.
For each spoke member, choose a required hub member and an optional second hub member for redundancy.
This optional hub ensures that a spoke member can still replicate if one of the hub members is unavailable.

If you specify two hub members, the hub members will have a full-mesh topology between them.

Since a new Topology must be created to add a member as an Option Second Hub Member, the correct answer is to Modify the Properties.

Well is between C or D.

By modifying the properties of replication group u can only edit schedule for replication group. What I mean by that is that you can change lots of setting for replication group, but in “Properties” u can only change “schedule”.

While with answer D, u can create new connection between SEA-SRV1 and CHI-SRV1.

As I see it the answer would be D. In the DFS management screen select the New connections and you can configure a new sending/receiving connection between the spokes

    Question is confusing
“Active Directory site links exist between the main office and the
branch offices” does that mean that a site link exists between the branch offices? If so answer is C. if NO you need to create a site link bridge to connect the 2 branch offices together then configure C.
