C.
From Disk Management, extend the volume.

D.
From Disk Management, delete the volume, create a new volume, and then format the volume.

E.

Explanation:
Step 1 (B): if required add physical disk capacity.
Step 2 (A): Dynamically extend the virtual disk (not volume). The File and Storage Services role and the

functionality enables you to use Server Manager or Windows PowerShell to manage the storage functionality of
your servers.

    Answer A&B is OK.

Awanderlei is on the right way:
A thin provisioned disk will be created with storage spaces.
When a storage space is created as “simple” (Without mirroring or parity) you just add one more Physical HDD to the storage space and then you can expand the drive as expected in Answer “A”

Don’t mix up “thin provisioned disk” with expandable VHDX!
Don’t mix up Extend Volume (This is the part you can use in your File Explorer e.g extend drive e: from 400GB to 450 GB) with extend disk (As I told you, this is only used in storage spaces)
