You plan to add a new subnet named LAN2 to the test network.

For the Subnet Mask yes, the statement tells you that the subnet needs to support at least 100 hosts, with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.128 you have about 126 IP addresses available. On regards of the Network ID, sadly, I don’t know the right answer. I’m currently researching.

    /24 /25 /26 /27 being used by lan1 10.10.1.0
    /27 free – cannot fit 100 hosts, only 30 10.10.1.32
    /26 free – cannot fit 100 hosts, only 62 10.10.1.64
    /25 free – can fit 100 hosts here, up to 126 10.10.1.128

Explanation: You cannot break up subnets however you like you can only break them up in halves.
