Microsoft Outlook for Mac.
All users report that they cannot access Exchange Online to check their email.
You need to run test connectivity for all users to identify the problem. You need to use the Microsoft
Remote Connectivity Analyzer and the credentials of the users.
What should you do? To answer, drag the appropriate test to run to the correct email client. Each test
may be used once, more than once, or not at all. You may need to drag the split bar between panes or

Agree with WalkerPF, if you check the description of the “Microsoft Exchange Web Services Connectivity Tests” , you will find them mentioning :

These tests walk through many basic Exchange Web Services tasks to confirm they’re working. This is useful for IT administrators who want to troubleshoot external access using Entourage EWS or other Web Services clients.

WalkerPF: well EWS tests the free busy, calendar sharing etc…. all the functionality of EWS, but for testing if OUtlook can connect to exchange via RPC over HTTP or MAPI you need outlook test. Entourage might be part of the OUtlook test too, as Entourage has option to connect to Exchange server and not use SMTP.

Correct about Entourage 2008 for Mac will not communicate with EWS but instead will need to connect via IMAP/SMTP. My answer would be “Outbound SMTP Email” though only because SMTP isn’t used for Inbound mail retrieval.
