You administer of a set of virtual machine (VM) guests hosted in Hyper-V on Windows
Server 2012 R2.
The virtual machines run the following operating systems:
Windows Server 2008 Windows Server 2008 R2 Linux (openSUSE 13.1)
All guests currently are provisioned with one or more network interfaces with static bindings
and VHDX disks. You need to move the VMs to Azure Virtual Machines hosted in an Azure
subscription.
Which three actions should you perform? Each correct answer presents part of the solution.

A.
Install the WALinuxAgent on Linux servers.
B.
Ensure that all servers can acquire an IP by means of Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol (DHCP).
C.
Upgrade all Windows VMs to Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher.
D.
Sysprep all Windows servers.
E.
Convert the existing virtual disks to the virtual hard disk (VHD) format.

Wrong, no need to upgrade. Answers ABE

+1 to ABE. WALinuxAgent is needed to interface several Linux components with Azure. VMs with static IPs will not work when in Azure; they ned to be DHCP enabled. and CHDX is not supported.
Azure supports 2003+, just not from image gallery, so as these are your VMs, as long as they are 2003 or higher they will work. Also sysprep is not needed; if you sysprep your servers before uploading the VHDs then the they’ll be generalised images and will lose their config such as domain, hostname, SID etc..

Another +1 for ABE. The marketplace doesn’t serve Server 2008 VMs, but if you provide your own VMs, you can even provision Server 2003.

Correct… cant do win 2008 .. must be 2008 r2+.. however you need to sysprem them as well ( win vms only) .. so sysprep should be valid as well ..

DO not Sysprep your machine unless you want to make it an image.

We don’t need to upgrade; Azure does not have Windows Sever 2008 but you’re going to image all the machines anyway;
