    1- In O365 activate dirsync
2- On Server 1 install and run AADSync
3- Activate all synchronized users (you can’t activate an synchronized object before the synch mechanism is actually there…)

  2. Revenge of the Moo says:

The provided answer is incorrect. MOC curriculum material for this course clearly states that O365 directory sync activation must happen BEFORE installing AADSync on-premises. It goes on to state that previous versions of AADSync were not permitted to run on Domain Controllers, but in the current version (circa 2014) AADSync can be installed on a DC. So we don’t need to even look at the standalone server – it’s there to trip you up because FS Proxies should be stand-alone boxes. Not required at all for AADSync.

    Correct answer is:
    1. activate synchronisation from O365 portal
    2. Install AADSync on the DC
    3. Activate users to be synced.

Before we can setup and use the Directory Sync software, we need to activate it in the Office 365 Admin Center

We need to download and install the Directory Sync software from the Office 365 Admin Center. This is a 64bit installer.
