Connection request policies are sets of conditions and settings that allow network administrators to designate which Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) servers perform the authentication and authorization of connection requests that the server running Network Policy Server (NPS) receives from RADIUS clients.

    The main answer is correct.
If you have a NPS server in your lab, try to export the configuration. Right before you click okay you get prompted with a box making you aware that you are exporting all shared secrets and you should put them in a secure location, and most importantly – “SQL Server Settings are not exported to a file. After you import the file to another NPS server, you must manually configure SQL Server Logging.”
