    I thought mixed mode meant that it was capable of supporting multiple modes. None of the answers would explain the slowness of the “G” connection. This answer is confusing.

    The 802.11N router needs to be MIMO in orders to see an increase in speed. Without it, there would be no significant increase in speed. Unfortunately this is not one of the options available as an answer. Mixed Mode involves using two antennas and is really not a great choice of answers.
