   I have a REAL problem with the wording / vagueness of this question.

   yes, you can drop, pass or inspect using a class….but you can ALSO use that class to Policy-Map and in there police & shape

   You can even send a classificaiton of VoIP traffic (matching ip pools) to an ASA’s Priority Queue

   I’ve done this after some nitwits launched a “VoIP design”
   that they NEVER consulted me on it before implemented
   and then asked me to “help” they found out that FIFO buffer with default-class
   AND no CoS becasuse they had no 802.1q/d between phone and switch @ ACCESS-LAYER …”didn’t work right”

   ….why does our phone system drop calls when someone downloads streaming porn on their lunch break…through a 1.5Mb circuit?
   DOH!
