    D can be confusing. the statement should be like this to make it correct:

    D.
    It filters traffic in the inbound OR outbound direction

    Remember when you configure the access-group command, you specify either inbound OR outbound

    Option A though is absolutely correct. ACLs apply to transit traffic. 🙂

    Yes, confirmed A.

    This topic was new to me a few months ago: but during my CCNP-R&S process I learned how MUCH information about Routers I was missing and just how different an ISR is from an ASA.

    I’m looping back now to learn all the things I did not know about ASA (there was more then I care to admit) and….I like seeing this question and knowing the answer COLD from studies three months ago….it reaffirms my theory that each CCNP is going to be easier then the last one was.
