Static NAT connections, by default, translate on which firewall kernel inspection point?
A. Inbound B. Outbound
C. Post-inbound
D. Eitherbound

MaxPsays:
Shouldn`t the answer will be D (Eitherbound) since Static NAT can be used for both – Source NAT & Destination NAT?
For Source NAT, by default the Translation takes place at Outbound/Egress interface.
For Destination NAT, by default the Translation takes place at Indbound/Ingress interface.

the question is saying “static nat” = destination nat
the translation happens in the post-inbound .. the correct answer should be C

@MaxP: You are right. But there is no clarity on question. But lets assume checkpoint mean destination NAT here as destination NAT something exclusive to static NAT method.
@Carlos: No the NAT translation happens at inbound kernel. After that rulebase checking and routing happens.

I agree with A), but to clarify I’ll say it’s in Pre-inbound (i).
