    i added hundreds of luns to ESX farms without ever booting. While the text in the iSCSI conf guide is correct, to induce a reboot is required is simply wrong. You cant induce – you have to deduce!

    My experience is “Rescan All…” can’t find my new LUN on a FC SAN. I have to go through “Add Storage”. But definitely not require a reboot. I think C might be the correct answer. As A and D are talking about the same thing.

    I would say B is incorrect because it says a reboot is REQUIRED, which is not true. While the host will detect new LUNs on boot, it is not required as you can click the manual rescan button.
