Since it’s a special event, you should :
1) click on ‘Setup schedule times’ in order to define a specific date for scaling :
– name of the specific scaling
– start date
– start time (hh:mm AM/PM)
– end date
– end time (hh:mm AM/PM)
2) From the “Edit scale setting…” combobox now appears your specific date name (under a “Specific date” section) that you should select
3) Choosing a scaling to edit automatically activate the “Scale by metric” to CPU and update the calendar next to setup the instance.

I think the real question allow us to change everything, not just EDIT SCALE SETTING
So the answer is:
INSTANCE SIZE: medium
SCALE: weekend
No need to use SET UP SCHEDULE TIME because it is already done (SCALE SETTING drop down, but if not we shouls have choosen ‘Different scale settings for weekdays and weekends’ in the SCHEDULE FORM)

Yeah, I reckon it’s weekend to, the question tells us traffic is expected on a weekend specifically, unless they expect us to manually scale it prior to the weekend, but it doesn’t say that.

You’d pick ‘Different scale settings for weekdays and weekends’ from the ‘Set up schedule times’ box.
BTW Cannot scale up Instance size (eg. Small to Large). All Instance Counts share same Instance size.

Since the The website runs in Standard mode and on a single medium instance so it will autoscale at the time of traffic to optimize the performance.
As per the above selections we are only allowed to select Weekday or Weekend and Small size is already selected hence Weekday can be the only choice left with us

Trick question indeed. Pretty sh1tty way of writing questions tbh. There’s no need to try and trip people up like this. I wish they’d work out a method of doing proper simulation exams where you had to actually do what they wanted *live* on a simulation of the real tproduct. I remember doing my IIS exam like that many years ago, but it’s the only one I’ve ever done that had that sort of thing in.

Question is completely borked as many seem to be. The question states that the site currently runs on a medium instance and you expect increased traffic in an upcoming sale on a holiday weekend. So if it’s currently running on a medium instace and you’re expecting increased traffic, why the hell would you leave it as medium and scale down to a small instance for the weekdays, which is what the answer is implying? That still leave us with a medium instance with increased traffic for the upcoming weekend.
The real life answer would obviously be scale up (or out I guess) (and obviously back down again) for that weekend based on a metric such as CPU. I want to know who writes these damn questions, because they need sacking.
