    Ntdsutil removes the metadata from Active Directory after a domain controller has failed and can’t be restored to properly demote it. The question assumes to domain controller is active, then C is the answer if the choice is “dcpromo.exe” not “pcpromo.exe”. The preferred method is the Powershell cmdlet “Uninstall-ADDSDomainController”
