In reality there is no right answer, “Modify the properties of ASG1” is the one that most closely matches the correct answer.
The really correct way to hook an ASG to a VM is to click on the VM and go to “Network” and hook the ASG.
You are confusing ASG with NSG. THERE IS NO HOW TO ASSOCIATE A NIC TO AN ASG.

In reality, I believe that I have expressed myself wrong in parts. There is no way to associate a VM with an ASG. What is associated with the ASG is the NIC really. However, there is no way to associate a Subnet (only NSGs can be associated with Subnets). And to associate the ASG to the NIC, the only way is to click on Virtual Machines -> VMNAME -> Networking -> Select the desired NIC and click on “Application Security Groups” to add an ASG.
