   I know the answer which is 255.255.255.240 however how do I KNOW the ip address range from 192.168.7.1 to 192.168.8.1? I NEED to UNDERSTAND CLEAR.

   With SM 255.255.240.0, we have 16 subnets in 192.168.x.x. They are following:
   192.168.0.0 -> 192.168.15.255
   192.168.16.0 -> 192.168.31.255
   192.168.32.0 -> 192.168.47.255
   192.168.48.0 -> 192.168.63.255
   192.168.64.0 -> 192.168.80.255
