I believe the correct choices are C and E. Decryption is not the same as encryption, it’s the reverse. So B really isn’t correct. And C is correct in that 3DES is substantially more secure than DES.

I would like to agree with @Jmeg9237 here but he as understood the answer wrong (or correct me if i am wrong) The option B doesn’t suggest encryption and decryption is the same but it says that the operation of encryption as in the method used is the same.
But as both DES and 3DES both use different methods of encryption and decryption (DES uses public key and private key, whereas 3DES uses uses triple encryption k1,k2,k3) and hence option B cannot be the right answer.
So whatever the assumption is whether mine or Jmeg8237 option B is wrong and the only logical answer and the other correct answer is option C

Just a note to add.
Both DES and 3DES are Symmetric-key algorithm hence both use the same cryptographic keys for both encryption of plaintext and decryption of ciphertext but do not use the same decryption operation. And hence Option B is wrong
