In sk54100 it clearly says “You can use this utility to backup Check Point configuration on the management station.”… nothing about it working on gateways, and that backs up what I’ve seen elsewhere too….
Also found this in the forums: “- Upgrade_export does not run on gateway installs. SmartCenter only.”
So, if you can’t use upgrade_export, then it’s going to be a backup!! Good question, hadn’t thought that deeply before!
