A customer needs a disaster-tolerant replication solution for its Oracle database. The database
consists of only one 500 GB valium. You recommended a Remote Copy solution based on HPE 3PAR
StoreServ 8200 systems. Which statement is correct when using multiple RCIP or Fiber Channel ports
for this design?
A.
Synchronous replication mode must be used
B.
Asynchronous streaming replication mode must be used
C.
All available links of the same type are used for replication
D.
All available links are used for replication
C. All available links of the same type are used for replication

The answer is A, not because of RCIP or FC ports but because the customer wants a “disaster-tolerant replication solution”

C – Remote Copy over IP
Remote Copy over IP (RCIP) is a native IP implementation of Remote Copy over Ethernet. Every HPE 3PAR StoreServ array comes with a standard Gigabit or 10GbE port on every node that is dedicated for RCIP. RCIP is only supported for synchronous and periodic asynchronous replication solutions. It is ideal for short, medium, and long-haul replication. It is most often used by organizations that require disaster recovery for small to medium environments with only moderate data generation rates and a limited number of volumes to be replicated. –
