  1. hans says:

Another unclear question. How do they want to connect to it? Via FC or FCoE? There is nothing written about a change to FCoE, so the UTA2 will remain configured as FC. Then I would also agree with david that D is the correct answer.

  2. Andy says:

    The Answer is D
Because the port is now used as the “target” or destination for storage. Before it was connected to the tape library and sending data there hence it was setup as the “initiator”
B and C are wrong for sure since the port was already “native FC”
To setup for HOST connectivity my belief is that it has to be changed to a “Target”
    Answer D

    Answer D .

    Here is why

You have a 2-node NetApp cluster. You would like to use an onboard UTA2 port for host connectivity. The port
was previously connected to a tape library using native FC.
What must you do to configure the port for host connectivity?

    A. Change the port mode to FC.
Wrong, the port is already in FC mode as the questions says.

    B. Change the port mode to CNA.
Wrong, the port is already a CNA. The name CNA is the same as UTA2. (Unified Target Adapter 2 (UTA2) in NetApp collateral is referred to as Converged Network Adapter (CNA) in product documentation).

    C. Change the FC type to initiator.
    Wrong, as Andy explained.
