Create a trust anchor named Server2.

B.

Zone delegation means any queries in regards to the desired domain zone (ad.contoso) outside of your domain (contoso.com) are sent to the defined server (server2) which handles that zone.
    D.

B is wrong because a Conditional Forwarder is for forwarding DNS queries to a specific DNS server within your domain.

      Not true.

The DNS server authoritative for microsoft.com can forward queries for DNS names that end with example.microsoft.com, if example.microsoft.com is delegated to another DNS server.

None of the articles I’ve found online state that conditional forwarder has to forward to a DNS server within or outside your domain. You can set it up to forward to any server, regardless if you host it or not.

Here’s a pretty good analogy I came up with, which may help explain which answer to choose here. Let’s say there are 3 people, named Bob, Joe and Mary.

Bob sends an email to Joe, the content looks something like this:
“hey Joe, can you please ask Mary to do XYZ for me? Thanks.”

Joe can either send a new email “to” Mary:
“Hey Mary, can you do XYZ for Bob?”

OR, Joe can “forward” Bob’s email to Mary.

The question here mentions the keyword “forward”.

Conditional forwarding literally forwards DNS queries to another DNS server. Zone delegation looks at the DNS query and delegates it instead. I know this may seem like it’s “forwarding” the request as well, but this is like one server “pointing” the client machine “to” somewhere else. To put it simply, if Bob asks Joe to hand a love letter to Mary for him, Joe could either point Bob to Mary’s office and tell him to do it himself, OR he could take Bob’s letter and forward it to Mary.

Delegation is delegating administration, SOA, etc, to a child portion of the namespace. The question did not ask for this. Most Microsoft questions asks you to either minimize administrative efforts or administrative permissions. So I think with this in mind, conditional forwarder is probably the best option here.
